Walgreens: Red Nose Day
Walgreens came to BuzzFeed to help them raise awareness for Red Nose Day, the campaign to end child poverty that is a big deal in the UK but less known in the States. Because Red Nose Day is an outgrowth of Comic Relief, we were asked to keep it light and funny, but also be informative and serious.
We sent a reporter to “follow the money” and track exactly how donations are used to combat child poverty.
Then we sent the same reporter to embarrass himself in public. But, you know, for a good cause.
Childhood Poverty Explained with Cake
Something nobody likes (poverty) explained through the lens of something everybody likes (cake.)
Finally, because the client wanted to promote actual red clown noses, we did our best to elevate clowning to a (literal) art form.
